Being that we can't post on here... I don't think we have a meeting place

Oh I know, I'll ask Al what he thinks:
Hey Al, we had a dyno day on Saturday, and I got a dyno to see what my turbo back had added... the numbers came through, and I had lost .3 whp, and 5 wtq... They quickly hooked up a boost gauge and it turned out I was running 15lbs of boost with a peak at 16-17... Any ideas on what the problem could be, and how I could fix it?

Just a Turbo-back exhaust with no cat... Vt and I did the install, and triple checked everything... and a blitz TT and some JIC coilovers... but I doubt they'd affect it

Al, this is off topic but I purchased a defi EGT gauge and I was wondering if you had any experience installing one. If so, where did you put the sensor. Most everyone says to do it on the exhaust manifold #1 cylinder. Also they say to do it while the car is on. Any thoughts?

I installed an autometer egt on my old 98 eclipse(diff car, but same engine). I installed it in the #1 runner about 1/2 way to the turbo. I drilled the hole once small and then once the correct size with the engine running. this will blow all the shavings out the hole. I was also told that since the engine is not under load and the turbo is not pressurized that any shavings that did fall would just head out the exhaust. I never had any issues with over 30k miles on the car after the install....

On the egt - I put mine near where 1 & 2 joined

The best way is to do it with the manifold off - however - another method is to coast the drill bit in grease and do it with the car running

A drill bit tip breaking off can take out your turbo so drill slow

another off-topic...any of you utah guys know where to take someone out to dinner?
looking for a good place in the $50-60 range that is not national(red lobster/outback/etc.)
want to try a bite of slc.
I remember being there a few years ago and eating at a very trendy place next to a sushi bar near the dead goat and the zephyr club...

thoughts?
