UTAH - custom tunes - March 5, 05 - sign ups
Ok first off, you should've gotten the paypal for me this afternoon Al... Second, I'll probably need to buy a Hallman... and Third, No Scott, we're currently looking at really cheap options for a functional boost gauge... so far I've got the Autometer one with a Steering Wheel cover mount for like 80-100 bucks total...
Fourth, And most important: Exit 114 Wright Bro. Ave... there's even a building for sale down this dead end road, no one was at that building at all, this was at 3:21 pm today... then the on ramp is just a little ways down a straight road, and either I80 west or east would probably work, and both might every once in awhile have traffic problems, but most people like to be going 80mph, so we should be good... And there was a black Evo out there at the Microsoft building right off of the exit...

um, lemme think... 80mph... dodging that stupid truck... I got to that BIG GIANT 45 mph yellow turn sign on whatever road that is on my way back in probably 5 minutes max... This has been another episode of Jake's crappy estimates
Oh, one other note, there was a sign there for what like... 6 hotels, I think? If we really need a hotel parking lot, we could drive to one of them, it's kind of a town, away from towns... I'm pretty sure that big lot at that building that's for sale will work good, or even that dirt parking lot too
as long as we really only need to do 50-70ish pulls, we'll be just fine, there was traffic, but not much, and the left lane was totally open... oh yeah, and the parking lane on the right side is a good 2 cars wide, at least on the east bound side
Hey Al, just to let you know, yeah, the Saturday time will work just fine, any time Saturday after that time is cool too, if people want to move up or anything like that... I might be having the guys do some quicky installs while you tune other cars... I might get my hands on an MBC, Fuel pump, and boost gauge

BTW - if you want to do any install work - find another loction beside where we are meeting for the tunes
Some times when I have traveled there has been huge gatherings of evos and dozens of hoods up and next thing you know the property owners call the police and everyone is thrown out.
The main point is that we dont want a lot of activity where I am meeting the people to hook up my equipment.
Finally - its not a good idea to wait for the last minute to install things as somethimes little things can break and you have no time left to get it fixed.
Okay, maybe we'll do the install some other time then or somewhere else at least... But there certainly won't be any huge gatherings of Evos, there isn't a huge amount of Evos in Salt Lake,
And you're right about the last minute thing, but, there's not much left anyway, time wise, few hours and a day or two won't make much difference... Didn't I see a picture of you installing a guy's MBC for him, oh nevermind, that was at a guy's house, got it.
Basically, the only minute left is the last minute, cuz I can't install that stuff after the tune and have it run properly... I mean, I guess I should ask if I can... If I got an MBC from you, I'd probably need a boost gauge to set it right, and assuming for some freaky reason I'm still boosting 15 like I was before if I fixed that after the tune, would the tune not be up to the fullest after that? And what about the pump, don't I NEED to get a tune with that? I'd just hate to get the full custom, and then have to get a mail-in a week later, that wouldn't be as nice as the full tune... that's all
