Basically we need a meeting spot - usually a hotel - which is near areas which have open roads avalable
Its OK if there is traffic in the imediate area so long as there are open spaces near by
Most of the tuning happens abut 50 - 73 mph so reckless speeding is not a concern
After the tune is close to done we take a high speed pull or two to verify the tune - but only in appropriate areas
I have never been to Utah so I am at a loss as to which highway would be the best
Usually - I like to go on the highway - do a 3rd gear pull on the on ramp - log the data then pull off at the next exit or shoulder to make any needed revisions and reflash
I do this over and over again as long as it takes to make my own version of autmotive bliss

Are you looking for a spot near to where you are staying?
I would say just south of Layton in the Farmington area.
Nice Long Ramp.
4 lanes wide.
Davis County Fair Grounds is right off of the Farmington Exit.
I think that would make a good meeting spot.

I - 80 is fine with me also
I will let you guys decide
Yeah, I like I-80 west of the ideas best so far... but if we're going that far from civilization, might as well head up East where there is none, chances of a UHP on I-80 out there is definitly greater than a cop or ranger driving around East, the like 10 times I've been up around East throughout the winter, I've seen 2 Sheriffs and no rangers, and neither of the Sheriffs pulled me over or even tried to tell me East was closed and I was being stupid... Mind you, we'd be speeding a lot more cuz the speed limit on the part I'm thinking is around 50... and most UHP officers don't start ticketing untill a little after 70... What we really need is a loaner radar detector to put in each person's car... So, I think I-80 West is our best bet for being safe, fairly flat and straight, and the least amount of chances to get a ticket, as long as people can drive that far. Aren't you afraid your car will explode in a mass of flames on your way out there Ray?
Oh yeah... and we can probably meet at like that exit on I-80 right after the Airport, it's just a little business area, nothing really over there... and I think the road goes off into a dead end, and we could just do everything at that dead end
And Oh Yeah 2... If I'm not fiddling with the stock boost levels, is it nessicary to get a fuel pump still? Most people seem to say that it only matters cranking up the boost or getting a larger turbo...

You don't want to blow another motor do ya?
Correct if I am wrong Al.
Okay Al, I've got one more question... well, first you should get full payment for me sometime soon here, I gave the man with the paypal acount all the info... ok, back to the question: Can you bring along one of those Hallman's for me as well? Mitsu checked, and the stock boost system is all working okay, so somehow it's just not boosting the 18-20 it should be... So I'm thinking I'll need me a MBC to get the full power out of my car that I should be getting
How about I answer for him???? I actually just talked to Al and he is bringing some Hallman Boost Controllers. I am going to switch to this boost controller myself.
Have you gotten a real boost gauge yet?
