Question Stock STI & Stock EVO w/ Base Dynoflash

In terms of whp and 1/4 mile performance, how do these two configurations compare? Dynoflashed Evo is stock with drop in K&N panel. STI is offer the dealer lot.

My EVO was DynoFlashed with just an RMR cone and a gutted cat. My bet time at the track before the track was 13.5 @ 101 mph. I didn't go to thrack right after the flash, but I know the car pulls a lot stronger up top. I raced my freinds STI about 2 weeks after my flash and I won the first and he took the second, but I was catchin' him pretty hard. Maybe it's the driver, but I know I've driven a stock STI and the way the car pulls feels quite crude compared to my flashed EVO.

I've got all my stages done now and STI are the thing of the past. Maybe it's just Chicago, but all the STIs out here think they're hot s***, but won't race any of the EVOs. That could just be because AMS is out here and they pretty much make everything look slow with their cars.

People think their hot **** not matter what they drive, i've seen some funny bumper stickers on a Civic hybrid that said "eat my electrons."

Anyways, i think the Evo should win with a flash. Equal drivers of course!

I guess none of you were at the 9/11 sti slaying at e-town. The modded WRX's were faster than any of the STI's there. And the evo's were handing out good old fasion *sswhippings like they were for free

All I can say is that the Subaru crowd was well represented First round of elimin's was 4 full staging lanes od Subby's to only 2 lanes of Evo's.Got to give props to subby's as there were a few Fast WRX's but didn't even see any STI's in the 12's?? I got the first few rounds on video, but then my batteries died about the same time my clutch Died (LOL)

I recvd my ECU back from AL today (thanks Al and FedEx) and spent 1.5 hrs running around. VERY pleased with the base flash, drop in K&N only. Spools up sooner, sounds meaner and pulls like a raped ape past 5K to redline. Smoother all around, idle, AC idle too. For the cost of the Thanksgiving sale I could not be more pleased. Can't wait to mod in the future and flash as required. I posted this original thread because a quy just moved into the neighborhood with an 05 silver sti and I'm sure we'll be talking. I sat on the fence about getting a flas; for those still on the fence......get off and get flashed.
