People who are looking to save costs should really look in other areas than trying to personally design and set up a generic alcohol kit on an evo - it took David Buschur, myself and SMC several months of trial and error to get it just right to the point that further revision is not needed at this point

Alcohol kits carry risks of fire if not properly installed and risks of blown motors if not properly set up - not a place I would look to save $200
Thanks Al, that's all the info i was looking for. You definitely bring up a good point about the safety and such, so now im a little disappointed in the kit i bought. LOL, oh well, i could probably sell it and buy the SMC one, but im in no hurry. Ill keep u posted! Thanks again!

What are the long term affects from using alky? I have a stage 1 ams and would like to use alky sooner or later but am concerned about the motor in 3-5 years of using alky. I have heard it will eat away at gaskets faster. Also Al do you know when you will be in chicago again. All I read on this web site is Al, Al, Al...I will be the first to sign up when you come back!
