Boost taper

So had my 05 dyno'd today. I'm very happy with the tune 11:1, which is exactly what I wanted. The boost started at 20.2 and tapered to 17 at 7000. This is using a Buschur manual controller. Is their any way to keep this from tapering?

Bill

Please share your dyno numbers with us. Sounds like a really good tune. Dynoflash?

05 stage 3

Car is an 05 with Buschur stage 3 set at 20 psi. Tapers 17 by redline.

check for leaks in the ic piping, re-tighten the clamps. I found better boost control when I connected the input line from the turbo nipple rather than the bov line.

dafarmer69, this is the second time you are telling people to buy an ebc instead of mbc. You realize that people have been using mbcs successfully for many years, long before the evo came to our shores. When a hallman is set up correctly, and thare are no leaks, it will work perfectly. If they didn't vendors wouldn't still sell them.

Hold on a sec do you still have the factory exhaust? If so that is normal. Once you free up the exhaust your turbo will work more efficiently and your boost will hold much better.

Al came to Salt Lake City, Utah this weekend and has been very busy!! After arriving late Friday night and staying up late HE HAS CRACKED THE ECU FOR THE ELECTRIC SILENIOD!! He now has control over it allowing him to set the boost and virtually eliminate all boost taper. I let him use my Evo for the first "test run"!! My car went to 20 PSI of boost in 2nd and 3rd gear and held to 7,500 RPM!! It dropped less then a 1/2 PSI!! This is a very important mod because up until this weekend you HAD to buy a manual boost controller to have the consistent boost!! Let me tell you this, it runs like Forest Gump on steroids!!
