Zero

Only difference is that there is boost controll of a very advanced nature

A MBC and Dyno Flash will equal the same result at this point

There is a chance the ecutek may add additional features which can give it an advantage in the future - I will update when that happens

So what's the price on a retune? I'm extremely interested in this EcuTek stuff. Their website is excellent.

That does not make sense. The formula is as follows:

(Horsepower x 5250)/Rpm = Foot-pounds

(Foot-pounds x rpm)/5250 = Horsepower

Scaling is not an issue. The dyno charts are wrong.

About the graph being off

I noticed that too, I always check as a matter of habit. but it is also very apparent that each graph was not calibrated the same way. That is simple and basic math. It would be easy enough to convert either line (or points on the line) to a corresponding point on the other line (with the same scale) but without the input that created the curve its not worth it. Its looks close enough to me. And in fact it looks like a sweet a$$ tune to me. I would love to see the AFR though. Imagine a f...in bone stock MR putting down those kind of numbers. The only problem is then your start thinkin what if i put on a tbe and an intake. And and and. I love this car.

A retune is $299 for a 2 hour custom tune. After we have enough base maps a mail in retune will be $99

For a complete stock car, to get 342 lbs of torque, I'm blown away! That almost seems like cam type torque. Great job.

It's actually HP = (torque * RPM)/5252. If you're going to flame, at least get the equation right.

Scaling is most definitely an issue, and the dyno charts are not wrong. Look at the Y scale for HP. What is the max value? 300, in case you can't see. Look at the max value for torque and you will see it's 350. Therefore, if both max values were equal to 350 the curves would cros at 5252. Since the max torque value is greater than the max HP value then the graph would be off if, in fact, they did cross at 5252.

Oh, and great numbers Al!

How can the 05 provide enough fuel to supply that much power with stock parts? I would figure that it would need a fuel pump atleast since there are so many restrictions in the stock induction/exhaust system.

Still confused. Is the Ecutek an actual device or just better software that Al owns to reprogram ECU's that will allow boost control?

No device just a reflashing system... but it's rather nice and there is tale of an end-user flash system in the works among other things.

www.ecutek.com

or try

www.google.com and search for ecutek
