Gt Series Turbo
Gt Series Turbo
Al, in a magazine article with you and your car in it, I had read a comment to the effect "The GT35R turbo we've found is the best for street use"
On what basis, horsepower, lag?
My plans are to bulletproof my motor with a gasket, studs, rod bolts, fuel system and preferably a Hydra Nemesis standalone with wideband then finally doing the turbo. My goal is to have a super fast spooling vehicle that will make in the 450's on pump gas with alchohol injection as a safety margin, Race gas Im hoping for the 500 range again with Ai as a margin. The problem is, I dont know how to read compressor maps and I dont know what series turbo is appropriate when Im willing to sacrifice top HP to maintain very little lag over stock (maybe 300 RPMs later, preferably NO increase in lag over stock, however crazy that sounds). The potential choices are the GT30 series, the 3071 or 3076 (no 3037) or any other turbo that will produce numbers with quick spool capability.
