can you tune hks 280s now?
Whats the difference between 264 in-272 ex or 272 in-264 ex.I've read that it doesn't make sense going with the 272 in-264 ex but I'm no tuner so any info would be appreciated because I want to do cams.I'm just waiting because there is so many options.
Thanks
Thanks
Yes - I can tune 280's but we have also verified that they make ZERO whp gains with stock turbo and rev limiter over the 272 cams
The 280 idle like ***** on the stock ecu - with stand alone and map based they idle great
My favorite are still the hks 264 / 264 on stock ecu cars

Al, if you would like some more experience in tuning with 280s and cam gears and such on the stock ecu. I'm in serious need of a tune, just got alky injection as well (methanol). I will be planning a trip to topspeed sometime within the month hopefully.
BTW guys - we did one in Texas this weekend with 280 cams that had a very acceptable idle
It seems that some cars idle well with the 280 and some dont - it depends on the level of vacum through the maf sesnor

yeah, Al tuned my 280's pretty nice....still lopey idle though and dips every now and then to the point of shutting off....Al says I need to swtich my greddy type-s bov to the forge bov to help with the idling so I will b looking into that...but AL's custom tune was awesome and cant wait to get my alky kit and get tuned for that
