how much is a base tune anyways? Is it any different from the mail in flash? I might want to get a base flash too.

Base Tune/Mail In flash is the same, but Al will usually test drive the vehicle for you as well on a base flash to ensure proper performance. His normal price is $199, sometimes he discounts it though. I'm assuming the more people we have, the better the pricing.

Has the date been confirmed yet with Ron from RS-Motors? Because I spoke to him and apparently there is some conflict with the Audi club wanting to use the Dyno that day?

Yea I talked with them on Sat. and the audi club may be doing some dyno runs that day, although they haven't confirmed anything yet. Good news is Al prefers not to use a dyno and would rather street tune if possible. RS has a big parking lot and this would be a good place for Al to work from. If you want a before/after dyno run, I'm sure RS could accomodate you. Although if there's some audi drivers around they may not want an evo strapped down, pretty depressing for them.

 

So - how many guys have sent in deposits so far ? Lets get this going !

 

I will definitely come down and say hello if you get this rolling. I was talking with Ron on Monday and he was going to get ahold of the Audi club and work out the scheduling issue.

We've got two for sure Al. We have a few guys that just want a base flash, do you need a deposit from them also? So far we've just been asking the custom tune guys for $75. We also have a request for pricing so if you could specify what it will be for this trip that would be sweet.

OK, let's get the ball rolling, I have a stage 2 Buschur Kit w/cams for my MR that is going to be installed and I want to make sure Al will be in Minnesota to tune it properly.

 

Hey Al, if for some reason you are not able to fly to Minnesota, do you pretty much have an ECU tune narrowed down for a Stage 2 w/HKS264 cams on a 2005 MR, I will also be putting in an Exedy twin plate clutch ahead of time to make sure it's broken in properly before you get here to tune it.

 

If you read above i think Al already has may 21 taken already.

Al, are you planning on flying to Minnesota on May 21st then? Or are you indicating you are committing to somewhere other than Minnesota on May 21st and you can do other dates for whatever reasons.
