NGK Spark Plugs
Quick question, tonight I replaced my well worn Denso IW24s for a fresh set of NGK BR7ES plugs. Considering the horrible condition of the Densos after 15k+ miles I understandably felt a positive difference in the cars responsiveness accross the rev range. Just out of curiousity though, could anyone explain the pros and cons between the BPR7ES which has a protruding electrode compared to the BR7ES's that I put in tonight.
NGK lists the BPR7ES as the plug for our application but I've seen Al recommend the BR7ES. I'd appreciate it if someone could chime in and clarify whether or not the plugs I picked up are the correct ones as I'll prob end up going back and buying out the limited inventory Pep Boys has of them. Thanks

I'm not exactly sure that the difference is... but I've been using the BPR7ES for a while now.
Last night I installed some BPR8ES which is 1 step cooler.. haven't driven the car yet so I'm not sure if they will help me out.
Just wanted to let you know you should be fine.. Assuming you gapped the plugs

Be interesting to see how 8's hold up.
You go colder when you do a lot of road driving vs. stop and go .. is this correct ???
So far so good. I think I'll need to turn the boost up just a little bit for the car to run perfect.. but right now it's really strong.
When I was swapping plugs earlier I noticed one of my plugs was loose :\ I'm not sure how long it was like that
so the butt dyno is happy again
I wanted colder plugs because I drive fairly long distances and the heat (not to mention the loose plug) was causing some knock.
They are so cheap it really doesn't hurt to give them a try

I just pulled the stockers out after 14K miles and they did not look too bad. I put in some BRP8ES today and ran the car around town pretty hard for a bit. Car runs smoothly but no noticeable differences yet.
