To answer both questions, Yes I actually used the 5k limiter to launch the car this time, it was my first time..The previous time I got before the flash was a 13.3@103.8..My trap speed did not gain any most likely because of my shift points..The was a chevy sponsored cobalt with open headers racing me and distracted me big time..I could not hear my own car what so ever..This was my first pass and my 1/8th mph trap speeds were almost 3mph higher then all of my other passes the first time at the track..I think a 105-106 trap speed is really where the car is at right now but like I said before I only had a chance to make one pass..I will be going to the track friday if it does not rain, should be able to make almost 10 passes if I wanted to..

Wow, that is a great run. I took my MR to the track 3 times now(different dates and multiple runs each date), I don't really want to type all the runs because you can actually see them at www.evolutionmr.net then go to drag racing and you will find them (there is only 3 post)
Anyway, I dramatically dropped a few tenth of second by unpluggin the 5k rev limiter switch. I knew my car was capable of running faster but I never got decent 60' times.
It is not logical to think that my ex- car( 03 WRX) use to do 1.7 s 60' time all day long with stocker 205/55/16 and 22k miles on them and stock clutch and no LSD or ACD.
You would expect the EVO MR with massive 235/45/17 AWD ACD front LSD and a 6 k clutch would do better but I never did. My average 60' times were around 2.0 to 2.2s.
Well, that is history, like I said before, the rev limiter switch unplugged is getting me into the 13.2's@104 and 1.9 flat 60'. I am running my car at SIR, Tucson (3075feet, and mid 80 temp, 91 oct gas 3/4 gas tank).
The NHRA altitude conversion table put me already in the high 12's at around 107-108mph sea level.
Al(Dynoflash) is coming to Tucson next week to tune a few cars(mine among them), by then I will have custom tune, HKS 264/264, mbc and fuel pumpnadded. Stay tune because I will post new times .
Please , post your times at www.evolutionmr.net under drag racing( there is virtually no 1/4 mile post)

leave the 5k limiter on there, it works GREAT for launching..I was skeptical before but I don't think I'll launch any other way from now on..BTW I do not think a flash will get rid of your limiter unless you get an ECUTEK flash possibly..

damn, i cant wait to get my flash. I just put a K&N panel filter in and a greddy type S and i defidently gained about 10whp. The boost holds longer and higher before it drops off now and with the better breathing filter its seems to spool and pull harder. What kind of whp numbers should i be looking at if i have the type s, K&N filter, boost controling flash, 255lph fuel pump and a UR full exhaust (cat-delete)?
