Exedy Triple Carbon
Hey Al, you are uniquely qualified to compare the Exedy Triple Carbon to the Feel of other aftermarket clutches and stock clutches. What do I have to look forward to? I am interested in shudder, pedal effort, noise, and everyday driving characteristics.
Thanks
Thanks
The Exedy triple is without a doubt the best engineered and best operating clutch money can buy - I am 100% satisfied with it in every regard
The driveability and noise are stock like or better and there is no disadvatnages what so ever other than the cost
If you are making more than 500 whp you should order the one with the stronger clamp force pressure plate

I wholeheartdely agree, the triple I have (exedy triple carbon) has 20K hard miles on it, and still grips like Day 1. it feels beter than the exedy twin metallic I had. you hear "slight" noise with the clutch in, but other than that Not much. awesome clutch to say the least!
So if money were no object, this would be the best daily driver clutch out there? It sounds as if the triple carbon drives better and easier than the twin metallic. Do you need to warm the clutch up before you drive anywhere?

I have the triple metallic and I have launched the **** out of it 120 times on the track with no problems. It makes a metallic noise like a bunch of bee bees being shook together when it's disengaged, but I don't mind it. This clutch costed 2000 dollars. Im not sure how much the carbon version is. This one can handle like 1000 hp though. Im sure the carbon is nicer, and this one does bite when it's not broken in. You need to do some 400+whp launches on it to break it in
