AL, question on JDM MR BOV

Will I screw up my ecutek tune I got from you by changing to the JDM MR BOV from the stocker on my 05 MR. Will it improve on anything? I know BOV really don't do much, but some people say the stock one leaks. Your thoughts..

I was at Pocono this past Sat. doing a HPDE. Let me just say that my car ran down 2 Porsche Carrera GT's, a regular Carrera, Ferrari 560 Merlano and a crapload of STI's. I was absolutely amazed. Guy in an 02 or 03 Cobra with 427 WHP said I was pulling away from him on the straights. Some people did not like me on sat. !

Well being that Al put the Ecutek flash on my ecu, I think you are incorrect.

did it feel worse? the JDM MR BOV does not VTA and should cause no idle problems. It does not produce more boost or more hp so I think you are fine. i don't know though, let Al explain.

I still have the stocker. I am not messing with it if I need to change anything with my tune. I think it might have a slight leak, besides the fact I think forged would be a better shell for that than plastic. So maybe some gains if that is the case.

Al is the best person to answer that. I know that he said in the future we will be able to switch maps for race fuel, back to regular fuel map etc. He was able to control my boost with the Ecutek so I did not need a MBC or EBC. I think the boost feature is on his regular flashes. Plus, Al claims there customer service is top notch. Hopefully some of the switching maps capabilities comes out soon.
