The simplicity makes the car more reliable. I was very clear and firm on what I want on my car, I want it a custom road tune, Al was able to correct main parameters on my EVO, he made it run so smooth,
less turbo lag
more top end
more boost
more torque
better acceleration
better gas mileage
more reliability
No way in HELL I would have a SAFC2 if I was going to have Al reflashing my computer. Like I said try disconnecting the whole thing, it might be just a little malfuntion on your SAFC2 wiring causing you the poor acceleration .
I had a WRX before in which I spent about $6000 just in parts alone, I use to have a Turbo XS UTEC and it was tuned by one of the best knowntuners for WRX/STI Clark(AZscoobie from Kingpin-performance) .
Anyway, I wasted $1000 on my UTEC, I thought that I had the $hit as far is tunning, I was wrong. Today I would tell you to custom tune your car using your own ECU and save the money. I have seen a lot of cars running like crap running with additional electronic devices. This is not always the case though.
Talk to Al for another reflash with the SFAC2 taken out..
