143 mph in 1/4

I like the way the car ran with the NOS - I feel there is a lot of potential.
For the DSM shootout in August (which is my favorite race of the year) no NOS is allowed so I have to work out the car with out NOS in any event.

Also Al this might be a dumb question but i thought you were running alcohol injection on your car as well?
And saying "cool your intake temps..." Are you using one of those Halo ZEX or nitrous express kits where the nitrous is inhaled into the I/C? I would assume so as it makes sense you blew your core.
I am always impressed with what you do Al, before i was skeptical of you (when i first got my car) but man you have some serious know how. Kudos to you.

Whoa, he blew the welds on his intake manifold. I thought that only happens in the movies. I could't stop myself from posting that.
Al, are you going to still be using the alky along with the N20?

Having seen the amazing results of Gadiel first hand on Big Valley's car and also on the car of Ivan Evo. . . I decdied to follow the direction to NOS. This week I was watching some Videos of John Shepherd running his DSM to a record 8.55 at 177 mph and I just kept watching them over and over until I just decdied - that looks like fun - its time.
Last night was my first time testing my Evo with a 35 shot of NOS and I was working to improve the launch and dial in the two step and anti lag.
I went to ATCO raceway for the Tuesday night test and tune. It was the most fun I had in a real long time. No race, no drama, just having fun and playing with my car. Two plus years ago in May 2003 it was at ATCO that I ran the first 11 second pass in a US Evo 8 with a 75 shot of nos on my almsot stock evo with a sfac.
Running NOS on top of 40 psi of boost was new to me so I was careful to tune slowly.
I was amazed how well the car was running even with a track that was very slippery and unprepared.
My best time was a new personal best in speed of 10.204 @ 143.29.
Sadly, after this pass, I made a small mistake with the AEM NOS controll and wound up spraying the NOS as I was starting the car to come to the lanes. Immediately my intercooller pipe exploded like a pipe bomb!!!!!!!!!!
I think the car is ready for the big Mistsubishi day at Englistown on the 23rd. I have a few small improvements to make and a new intercooler pipe but overall I am very impressed with the new turbo set up.
Tomorrow I will be testing a new design Magnus intake manifold and a new larger Buschur Racing fmic kit on the dyno.
