Yeah, that's about exactly what mine does too... I wish I could help you, but you probably have already checked everything I would check. Maybe a compression test would give some insight.

Well, it is not a boost leak and a/f ratios from 10.1-10.2 from 3500 to 6500 and then 10.5 from 6500 to 7000 might be part of the problem... what I don't understand is when Al tuned my car the a/f stayed solid at 11.0-11.1

Bring the car by so I can look at it and bring the sheets also.

Remember - I tune the cars on the road with real world driving conditions and tempratures. Typically many dyno operators who do not understand how to replicate real world operating conditions on theri dynos will show a richer a/f on the dyno than we have when driving on the street. Important point to remember is that the evo will start to run richer as the coolant temps increase.

In any event - in your case as your drag times appear to be slow also - there may be something else going on. I can get to the bottom of it quickly. I would suggest you call my cel phone wed afternoon to see my progress over there and we can meet wed night to address your car

al,
your hotel is like 5 minutes from downtown...i know that area well, there is a stretch of 279 from the perrysville exit down to camphorn road that will serve well for 3rd gear pulls...also not regulated by the authorities...i will be there early and i can show you the area...coldplay is performing the same night so i can't stick around all evening, hopefully you can take a look at my car early...

Isn't ESE right down the street from where we are meeting? Or have they moved their location?

It would be cool to roll up there after tuning and do some dyno pulls...

Hmm I think I'm going to have to sign up for a spot Just have to make sure the money is there first..

Do you have any sort of checklist of things people should do before getting tuned?

Examples:

-New plugs
-clean air filter
-beer

Thanks man

Al,
When will you be back in CT? I am Mark Daddio`s friend with the 04 RS. I need to get the car in for fuel pump and 660cc injectors installed and I want a custom tune for it. Is 23PSI safe with 93 octane gas?
