Race Prep

I wanted to share with anyone interested my maintenance schedule between races. I am taking a break from getting my car ready for tomorrow and a test and tune session. Here is what I have done since Saturday's win at the day race where the car took 5 passes down the track.

Down load and review data log

Changed oil and filter - stock mobil 1 and stock filter (cut open filter and inspect)
Drop oil pan, inspect oil pan, rod bearings

Changed tranmission fluid and transfer case fluid - AMSOIL 75-90 wt syntheitic

Boost leak test

Change sparg plugs read plugs and compression and leak down test

Nut and bolt entire chasis

Check tire pressure

In this case - everything checked out 100% perfect. Its better to be safe than sorry though - especially when going 144 mph !

No such word as "overmaintaining" when it comes to a Race vehicle.Hell, the only lives in danger when racing is the one behind the wheel and in other lane.I do the same thing on my race bike between races, cheap insurance
