I have you down for a full custom tune on the Dyno - - - let me know if this is incorrect.

I'm still running stock so I'm not sure if this is considered a custom tune or not. The only mods I have right now are the ones I mentioned, and I wasn't sure even if I am going to have them installed by then. Do you still custom tune without any mods?

The choice is really one of economics

If you get a base flash - no tuning - its $175

If you chose a dyno tuned flash - you get before and after dyno sheets and the car fine tuned to match any individual variations and your total fee with dyno time is $350 for this event

To me its worth an extra $175 to see dyno sheets and get a spot on tune

Totally your car - I just need to know so I can open up the time slot if you only want the base flash - thanks al

Hey Al, would it help you out and speed things up if we brought a list of our mods with us? I notice that you like to build your database so that when someone mails in for a flash, you can pull up a previous custom tune with similar mods and use that map.

Also, I just bought my car about 6 weeks ago, and I'm rushing to get all of my mods installed before this tune. (headers, collector, downpipe, cat-delete, cat-back, HKS RS Intake, Cams, Injectors, Fuel Rail, Fuel Pump) I installed a UTEC recently and I'm having issues with it limiting my boost to about 4-5lb. When I disconnect it and plug stock ECU back in, I get normal 20-22lb of boost. I seriously doubt I'm going to have this thing figured out and in tune by the time we dyno, so I'm thinking of just disconnecting the UTEC and letting you do your thing to the ECU flash, then I'll play with the UTEC afterwards. Does that sound feasable?

Another option would be to let you do a basic flash on the stock ECU, then fine tune using my UTEC, but that's only if you're ok with that. I'll pay extra or whatever. I have the last time slot, so if you want to do a little drive-tuning after the shop closes, I'd be up for that too. I realize it's going to be a long day for you, so I understand if you'll be too tired to fool with it.

I'll take the custom tune then. I just wanted your opinion on what would be more advantageous or necessary since I really don't have any mods on the car yet. By the way, is that $350 after the $100 deposit that I sent?

No its $250 balance due

After you get the custom tune you get free mail in updates when you get your future mods

I suggest that we tune the car with a reflash as your base map and then play with your UTEC for any future or additional mods you may get or race gas use. Honestly - the UTEC on Evos is not a very good mod and I have seen many with electrical problems and operational shortcommings wuch as your boost issue. I would recomend the AEM over teh UTEC for those who want to play about. Of course its hard to beat my flash for bang for the buck !

Yeah I'm considering ditching this UTEC and just running your tune...the UTEC is a little more hassle than I'm ready to deal with/learn, and overall it just seems unfinished...I feel like I'm beta testing again. Thanks for the advice, see you on the 10th!

Hey Al, I have the HKS SSQV. Should I run it VTA or recycle for the DynoFlash?
