Vp racing 110 octane kills Flash on car?

Nice times, seriously. But I think what I stated above is still true.
I ran a ton (30) passes with 100, 100 mixed with 110 and 100% 110, and 100% 112 and every pass was within .15's. I would not think adding 110 to a pump tune would cost him 40hp (10hp per tenth is a good rule), maybe, but it seems like something else must have changed. I would call Al's tune "safe" not rich.

That's what I do and the car is a BEAST on race gas.

It's the elevation. Every car will run lower boost at Palmdale unless you make adjustments. It's not your tune.
There are many different parameters that can cause the 22 to 20 psi drop and bad time.
But first you must realize that an increase of octane isn't like putting rocket fuel in your car - it actually has less BTU's.
The increase of octane will just allow you to run higher boost w/o detonation and retarded ECU processing.
Right before you go down the strip next time reset the battery and try it with 91 @20 psi and then put 100 in another time, turn up the boost, and see what you get.

- Check for boost leaks and fix them
- Reset your ECU (-batery disc) you might have been using pulled maps prior to the 100 octane, since you only have 91 in cali from lunatic environmentalists - bad gas would be like a piston melting 87 and you would of been racing on retarded ECU memory (which is easily resetable)

Leaded race gas will cause your AFRs to go a full point richer. So if you are tuned at 10.8 on pump gas, which is what my base tune gives me at 20 psi, expect to be at 9.8 on race gas with no boost increase. When I run C16, I turn the boost up to 26 and I have to pull 18% across the board on the AFC, and that still is only in the 11.x AFR range.
