depending on the year of car, your turbo will only hold about 20-22 psi on a 03-04 and 23-24 on a o5. so with 100+ octane id spike it up to 25-26 and hold it up as high as you can. this is me, to each there own, i spike 25-26 and hold about 23-24 to 6k and it drops to about 20-21 at redline. with al's tune you should be way safe at wot for 100+ oct. good luck, and post back with some times

With the cams, tbe and 25-26 spike you could be knockin on the door of 11's. Do you have a stock clutch? Head studs would definitely provide an extra safety measure also. How long have others ran 25-26 psi spike on stock head studs/gasket with success?

Um, interesting, tomorrow is Wednesday, so I'm gonna take a guess that the track that you are heading to is LACR??? Am I right? I just hope you understand that LACR is an extremly slow track, elevation, head winds, and traction all suck. Honestly you will most likely not get out of the 13s there. On saturday California Speedway (Fontana) will be having street legal drags, so if your down, I would suggest to go there instead (it's only open once a month) because it is a much faster track and there will be other EVO owners there that can give you pointers.

Oh ok, disregard my last post then, Sac Raceway is similiar to Cal Speedway, not the fastest, but not the slowest, so IMO that = good track.

having your bov recirc. helps keep the "lag" down during fast shifts. some will disagree, but hey, its the internet, the 100 oct. gas should be fine for mods.

Sac raceway is a pretty beat up track and you will probably only get two or three runs in, I personaly wouldnt waste race gas for that night, and there will be a lot of junk out there. I would recommend going on a friday night during test and tune you will get more runs in but it cost 45 dollars. I had problems with tracktion there and had trouble even finding out what I ran because the numbers were messed up and the slips were every where.
