Is the price the same for both existing and new customer? I'm seriously considering this.

Free upgrades via the mail. The 325 is for full custom reflash. $375 for new customer is a heck of a deal compare to when I first got flash last March/April

wouldnt it just be easier to hand him the ecu and have him do it right then and there instead of mailing it?

I agree and that depends on his schedule/time. The saving on shipping cost can be use for pizza It's even better if your car is there

ARGGGG man I had work planned out to see customers in Chicago that week and everything . . . . .

Ok my question comes to this now . . . . . . . how long can I go with 272's in my car before you can tune it?? I also want your Alky Kit so I HAVE to have a road tune?

What options do I have?? I unfortunately can't go to Ohio that week instead but I may be able to make it back to Chicago for the following weekend but can the CAMS be in there that long without the tune?

Thanks!

Al can you help answer my previous ???.

Let me know when you have alky kits available. What fluid are you recommending for daily driven? Also I will have the kit install before the tune. I believe there's a test feature on the kit. Do I even need to test the kit after installment or is this done on the tuning day? If so do I test it with water first and then drain it out and fill it with whatever fluid I plan to run? I'm assuming the tank should be empty until the day of the tune?

Sorry for the questions but I need to make sure things go right. Looking forward to seeing the magic of alky + dyno tuning

alky kits

I just installed the kit and had Al tune the Alky last month here in Schaumburg.
I installed the kit myself. My advice is:
Just take your time, especially w/ the wiring. If the wiring fails, engine goes BooM. I installed a switch ( Radio Shack) between the controller and the power source, so I can shut off the kit at anytime. I put the switch inside the coin holder along w/ the controller. Once everything was wired up, I installed the bottle and tested the pump with water before connecting the hose to the spray nozzle. If that works, now connect the hose to the nozzle (inside the IC pipe) and make sure a mist pumps out of the nozzle. CHeck for leaks and make sure you have over 100 psi on the guage connected to the nozzle!! If everything is perfect, pump out the rest of the water and fill w/ Denatured Alky or Methenol. Both are fine. Meth is $5 / gallon, alky is $12 / gallon, but more readily available for me. Have the tank filled up prior to your tune, and just turn off the kit until your ready to tune. If you still have ??'s call Steve at SMC. Good Luck.

Thanks for the information. Looks like you live in Palatine. I also live in Palatine too. If you don't mind I like to see the kit on your car. Are you using 100% methanol? How was the power after the tune?

Thanks again.

I run denatured Alky from Home Depot.
I basically have Buschur Stage 4. With the Alky I boost to 26psi and it tappers to 22 or so at redline. I noticed a huge difference in the midrange. If I mash the go pedal on 2nd gear turns, the car goes into a violent 4 wheel burnout/drift/fishtail.
The top end is improved as well since I think Al was able to run more timing up top safely.
I will be out of town this weekend, if you want to take a look see, PM me next week and we can meet up somewhere.
