I just wanted to give Al a quick thanks for tuning my car to be the beast it is... in case you don't remember Al, I'm the crazy Azn guy that made 389whp / 420wtq in Atlanta...

Anyways, I just raced at Fall 2005 Import Showdown (www.importshowdown.com) in the AWD class... raced against 4+ other Evos making similar power with all different types of engine management (EcuTek, AEM, Vishnu, etc.)...

To keep the story short, I won 1st Place AWD in the competition. My fastest times that day was:

12.120 @ 115.48mph w/ a 1.786 60'
12.171 @ 117.98mph w/ a 1.843 60'

holy crap, nice trap. You have a mid 11 second car for sure. Have you done more mods since the 389/420 pull?

Wonder how you got that 117.98mph trap and then the rest of the day you were almost 3 mph off that. 3 mph is very significant, any ideas?

 

No idea... only thing that comes to mind is the first few runs of the day, I was cutting 1.7 60' times and didn't spin too much... as the day progressed, I started to twist to the side on my launches and had to straight out my car whie spinning through first gear.
