AMS GT3076 Turbo + Alcohol Kit

Anybody here runs an AMS GT3076 turbo with Al's alcohol kit? On 93 pump gas, what kind of HP/TQ numbers will I be looking at? Would 450whp be possible?

I have 264/272 cams, Forge MBC, ARC intake, Buschur exhaust and downpipe. I'll be upgrading the intercooler and the intercooler pipes when I get the turbo kit as well.

With the TME turbo, I made 334 whp at Pruven. Wondering if the turbo upgrade is worth the $$.

I like Al's flash and would like to keep my car as a daily driver, so no EMS for me.

Don't know and don't care about dyno numbers but I did just run a 11.54 @ 121.6 on a BR500bb (GT3076), alky, custom flash, 93oct and 26 psi. ALso ran a 11.62 @ 113, I backed out at 1000' b/c I dident want to break 11.49 and get banned. I am pretty sure the car would go hi 30's to low 40's just the way it is now.

Al-Do you have a flash for 280's yet? I am pulling the motor this weekend to do a 35r, 2.3l, and 280's from BR.

im curious about this set up also. i am looking for 450+whp on pump and alky. if anyone else has experience with this set up please post.

Blazedevo781, cant wait to see your dyno results, please post when you get them.

4ringturncoat,

are you going to stay with a flash with your new set up? how did your set up feel? do you think your 1/4 mile times will improve on pump and alky with your new set up? im also considering a 2.3, but not sure if i can do the 35r due to my elevation(6500ft).

It was very fast! Any mid 11 second car is going to be pretty brutal out on the street. I had sevel 7.30 to 7.40 @ 95mph last weekend. I am going to build the car to be almost exceclty like Dan Buschurs car which is going low tens right now. I really think a mid 10.60 to .70 is possible on the stock maf.

Even Dave agreed that with race gas and a more aggressive tune the current set-up could be in the 11.30's so I am more then confidant the new set-up will go 10's.

do you think the 3076r is the best turbo for pump and alky on the street? im choosing between this, 3071, and 20g. a 2.3 stroker kit might be in the future also, but not sure yet. i know the 35r is best, but elevation is killing me, where the 35r would spool 500rpm later than 2.0 at sea level and the same as the 2.0 on the stroker. there are no tracks around me so i race mostly on closed roads on the street against mostly v8s like supercharged mustangs and camaros from either standstill or a rolling start. another car thats competition for me is a sti that will either have a 20g or gt30 kit.

The good thing with a 3076 is at 26-27psi (which is fine on pump and alky) you are really in the meat of that turbo. I am half tempted to try the stroker AND a 3076 before I go to a 35r. I am pretty sure with a stroker and some good driving a ten is possible out of the 30r. This combo would be super sweet on the street and track. A ten second car that has stock like spooling and pump gas would be pretty nasty.

I had one really good pass last week that I backed out of b/c I was going to go faster then 11.50 and still ran a 11.64 at 112.5 so even in the current combo the turbo easly has an 11.40 in it and with a little more timing/boost I would bet it will run 11.30's. If you go with Daves kit you can get the 30r and then swap to the 35r if you want to.

I saw the video posted in your sig, and the spoolup of the turbo seems excellent. Is that run with alky? Thanks.
