I'd go with a custom tune if you can. The only mod I have is a Walbro fuel pump and I baselined 240hp, after tune; 277hp !

I'd go with a custom tune if possible. After Al put in the standard calibration I was still running a little rich. He straightened out the A/F curve and ended up getting an 1-2 extra whp and about 4 lbs. or tourque.

I cannot speak for mail in tunes, but it's a very good bang for the buck way to make your car run quicker and healthier. I personally went with the custom tune from Al and am very satisfied. I would recommend it to anyone.

The custom tune is definitely the way to go if you can do it. I had Al custom tune mine last summer and was (and still am) very impressed. Go for it!

IMO it depends on what (if any) mods you have. I would say if you are stock, or have light mods (intake, exhaust, mbc) go with the mail in. If you have more, such as cams, fuel pump, ic pipes, and alky, go with the custom tune.

This is the best bagn for the buck!!

How many things you can buy with 350dls that give you proven 60awhp?

I think Mail-in tune was by far the best bang for buck for me. The smooth strong powerband!

Off Topic :

Hey Al,

I had a problem with my previous 05 evo so I traded in for another 05 EVO. So the flash went with the car. But I want the same flash on this vehicle. Do you think I can get a break and get a free flash??

I will be doing a custom flash when I get cams. Till I get the money I just want to have fun with mail in flash.

Use the mail-in option to get you by till you have an opportunity to get custom tuned.

The mail-in is conservative and will keep your car running safe and better in respect to the mods you choose. But the custom tune will take your car to it's maximum performance, also with a window of safety just in case you knock or boost to high.

Custom tune no doubt is best bang for buck, but the mail in is very convienient and, depending on mods, gets you results. I've had 2 mail-ins and one custom.
