Question Question for Al...?

Al, last May 05, my car was tuned by You(DynoFlash) at Proven Performance...I had the stock 05RS that Dynoed at 277WHP stock..!

The car has no aftermarket parts on it except a K&N drop in.....

I just bought a Bushur cat back with a Helix downpipe and CAT.
I also purchased a RnR Tubular manifold(new)...and a set of new intercooler pipes...

Question? Do I need a reflash for the exaust/intercooler pipe upgrade or is the current flash good enough?

Would it be a good idea to install a MBC + a fuel pump?

Thanks Al,

TP

Just curious what you dyno'd AFTER the flash, since you dyno'd 277 when you were stock. You say you were tuned in May, but then on June 3rd, you said you dyno'd 277 while STOCK. So, were you not tuned by Al in May, or was it tuned while at Pruven AFTER dyno'ing, and then you didn't bother to dyno afterwards or to get tuned on the dyno? Clear that up for me.

With those mods, you should definitely get an MBC and fuel pump before the reflash. The IC pipes aren't very helpful and cost more than an MBC+FP. An MBC+FP is also much less than a tubular manifold while being just as helpful if not more helpful, so I'd suggest it. You will have a really good setup after all that...

Wink

Ok, here we go again.....hmm

Right after I bought the car (April), I dynotested it at Pruven Performance...First run 266Whp 2nd 270, 3rd 277......The guys at Pruven Performance asked me to keep going, but I decided not to....They also suggested that I have DynoFlash(Al) tune my car because there was a weird "dip" on my dyno sheet graph....
Following week I came back and had Al DynoTune the car....Results HP at the time of test:
before 260.7 WHP after 268.4WHP. with no "spike"...
before 268.4 TQ after 281.8 TQ
This was at the day of the DynoTune...

The tune was done on a very hot(84.6F) day as opposed to my original Dyno reading(68.5F), which might explain the difference in WHP reading...( I think...)

So now, I have a full 3' exaust and a "very expensive" tubular manifold RnR waiting to be installed.........

I hope that answers your question........

BTW...Thanks for the advice.....

Ok, the 268/281 after flash sounds about right. I did 248whp stock and went 104 in the 1/4. I then added just an S-AFC and went 106.3 in the 1/4, so that would put me in the 260-270whp (dynojet) range like you. My stock dyno and track times were done in 80-degree weather as well. I haven't dyno'd in 65-degree weather yet.

I would say that a fuel pump - mbc and retune makes the most sense - its $350 for the retune with 2 hours dyno time - why play about ?

I would love to conduct a before and after test on that exhuats manifold - if your interested

Exclamation

Al, I already had a Custom Dyno Tune($400) back in May 05...The car had no mods at that time....I was under the impression that subsequent upgrade tunes were $100 each...? Can you clarify this?

I would love to test the new Rnr manifold when I get it...should be very soon...

Thanks

Through the mail updates (for what they are worth) are free

A retune on the dyno with your dyno time is $350

We can work out something onm the test of the manifold if you are interested
