Al, can you get this thing started. I need to know what day to plan for. I also need to talk to Dave about fixing my downpipe.

I had one of the first few with a flex section. When I went to the EVO vs WRX shootout, the following took place in the Buschur parking lot:

Al: [crawling from underneath the car to install the wideband] Who's knock-off Buschur downpipe is that?
Me: It's not a knock-off. It came from Buschur.
Al: With a flex section?
Me: Yep, I had to special order it. I guess I'm one of a rare few.
Al: Yeah, thats a nice feature to have availiable. I just didn't know Dave was offering it.

Mine hit a heat fin on the diff housing when I first installed it. I trimmed the fin slightly and it almost took care of the problem. Dave offered to put it up on the lift and take a look at it / fix it. I had to run before we could get it into the shop. I'm hoping to get it fixed during this visit.

Since I have gotten quite a few PM's about this I figured I would post the information. The rate for a custom dyno tune is $375. That includes the custom tune AND the dyno time.

Al will be here late thursday afternoon but he will not start tuning until friday morning and wiill continue through saturday evening.

We are taking a $75 non-refundable deposit to hold the spot of your choice. The balance will be due after the tune. Normally Al will do 1 or 2 pulls before he starts so he can see what power he is starting at and then where the car ends up after the his tune. If you havent had a chance to let the the big man work his magic on your Evolution I would highly recommend it. You will be pleased with the out come I am sure.

So far this is how the schedule looks:

That is all we will be doing on thursday night as we normally like to shut the dyno down around 6pm so we dont tick off the neighbors.

Friday Feb. 3
Starting at 11 a.m.:
1. Bryan Didier ( paid deposit )
2. Jason Fowler ( paid in full )
3. Phil Sanford
4.
5.
6.
7.

Saturday Feb. 4
Starting at 11 a.m.
1. Lee Grammas ( paid deposit )
2. Casey Cherwin ( paid in full )
3.Trent Stanley ( paid deposit )
4.Robbie Nelson ( paid deposit )
5. Andy Carney ( paid deposit )
6. Andrew Morrison ( paid deposit )
7. Gary Malick ( paid deposit )

If you have any questions or you would like to put down a deposit please feel free to give me a call here at the shop. 440-839-1900 Also we will have sometime to do some installs on Thursday Feb. 2 incase you need any parts put on before your flash. Friday appears to be full at this time as far as install work would go. I'm sorry we will not be doing any installs on Saturday.

Take care

Are you running our full 3" turboback? Also does it have the flange on the end or is it a old slip-fit design?

What's the existing customer price again? I've got a mail in flash and then a custom tune.

I'll send my deposit over the weekend. Hopefully there will be a slot left

Buschur downpipe is 3" with a flex section and a flange.
Buschur high-flow cat is flanged at the downpipe end and slip-fit at the cat-back end.
Buschur cat-back is 3" with a Magnaflow muffler.... slip-fit to the cat.

Do you have any test-pipes in stock that are flanged on the downpipe end and slip-fit at the other? I may be interested in one.

I'm guessing that you probably have a downpipe that got turned a little in the jig or something. I will ask David what he would like to do when I get a chance to talk with him and yes I can have a off-road pipe for you when you get here but we can not install that. I will let you know what we will do with your issue.

Thanks

Bump!

Jrod: Will you guys be able to install a set of injectors on my car on Saturday? If so how much would this cost? I could do it myself but it would probably take me a lot longer

I'm not sure how hard/messy a job that is. If they can't do it I'd be willing to bring some tools and help with a "parking lot install." I'll be going up very early Saturday of Friday night.

It's not too bad from the movie i've seen... but I'm sure they can do it a heck of a lot faster than I can..
