I need to reserve a spot, but I want to make sure my car is in shape before I make it official, but could you hold 7pm friday night for me? I get my car back today or tomorrow from the body shop then I need to make sure it is good to go.

LOL I thought I could get away with it.

What's the best method to do pump and race gas pulls w/o coming off the dyno? Should I just do my pump gas pulls on empty or what? I'm bringing 5 gallons of my local 100 octane with me.

I'm sorry but we shut the dyno down at 6pm.

Your not going to want to run the car on the dyno on empty or close to it. It would probably need to come off of the dyno to switch gas.

I have a AMS TBE with test pipe, MBC, Drop in K&N, and a Apexi S-AFC II that I have yet to install. So are you guys saying that the S-AFC II is a waste and I should get the flash? What kind of power am I looking at with the above parts with the Flash on 93 Octane? I guess I can't install the parts and drive 3 hours there and get flashed since it will probably mess something up. I am really interested, so let me know something soon.

Thanks

You will gain a lot down low from a flash as compared to a safcII. Your power will be more consistant as well. I would say you would make in the ballpart of 270-280 with those mods if it's an 05. I really don't know tho.

Nah, man, don't stress. You can easily install those parts and drive 3 hours. Hell, you could install those great parts and drive around with no tuning ever and still be fine. You aren't installing any parts that require specific fuel tuning in order to work well, but a flash will definitely optimize the combination of parts and give you a lot of smooth, safe, reliable power.

Don't rely on the SAFC - I already did that for a year and was driving around without about 30wtq until I got my flash. The SAFC is the bottom-level tuning tool and is not capable of keeping up with a flash in terms of tuning unless you upgrade the injectors, which would make no sense at your current level of mods. Plus, even with injectors, you would only be fooling the ECU into giving you the combination of AFRs and timing that are optimum for power with those mods, and yet you'd still not have the great features of a Dynoflash: raised rev limiter, removed fuel cut, launch control, and idle speed control.

You can always keep the SAFC for fine tuning on top of the flash like I also have done. When you add race gas at the track, you can retune with the SAFC to account for the higher octane, but make sure you also have a wideband o2 and logging device.

Ahh I can't wait to get up there. I'm going to try to get a Forge WGA on so I can run 22psi on pump. This upgraded actuator is just too high for dialy driving
