Alright! I am getting excited, this is going to be good, I have been really wanting to get the flash done in person, the mail in is ok but it runs a lil' rich, so this will be good.

The custom tune is usually good for another 20hp minimum over a mail in flash. I remember my base flash dyno'ed out at 306whp on the first pull ever and I ended up w/ the numbers in my sig. Plus its nice to know that your tune is for your exact mods. BTW, he just doesn't play w/ a/f, he plays w/ the timing as well....its worth it for the extra power and peace of mind IMO.

Just FYI, mail-in flashes are tuned to your exact mods, too. A 20whp difference in a mail-in and custom tune would be an extreme case. As time has gone on, Al has become much more adept at choosing perfectly-matching files for mail-ins. I'm a good example of that as I didn't receive my mail-in flash until just a few months ago, but it was good for 12.2s on pump gas at the track (see sig). He then came back down to give me a sponsored custom street tune, and although he was able to optimize, he was impressed with how well the mail-in flash worked in terms of AFRs and timing. My car was beastly and only needed slight adjustments on the street tune, so keep that in mind.

Custom road tune = always best
Mail-in flash = still way better than stock and better than most other tunes

Agreed. I was just trying to portray each tune based upon my experiences. I guess his mail-in's have gotten even better since back in the day when I got mine.

Right now I am using an AFC for tuning, I had a mail-in when I was stock, now I have the Buschur Stg 4, hopefully a custom flash can get me some more power
