Unhappy Question for Al...

Hello Al....

First of all Merry Christmas, and I hope you have a wonderfull 2006...!!

Now, my car is behaving king of wierd, when I stop at a red light or stop signal, sometimes the car start to idle erratic (like missfire), and sometimes it stalls and dies. It started a while back(few months ago) when I used the A/C, but now it does it no matter what (A/C on or off).
I tried rising the RPM by adjusting the knob at the throttle body, but in order to have working right when the A/C is on, when I turn off the A/C the RMP jumps to like 1500 to 1600 RPM (not very fuel efficient)...!!

I went to a Mitsu service center (I know the owner) and he told that the only way he can diagnostic it is by hooking his PC to the car, erasing the ECU programing and reloading and checking all the sensors.... I told him that I will loose the Dynoflash if he do that, that try to do the checking without reprograming the ECU, but he told me that the program that he uses do it automaticly...!! I understand him cause it is made to check stock cars...

The issue is, I'm getting codes P0171 and P0300 every other week, and I erase them with my code checker, but now that the car is stalling and diying everytime I stop at the red light is making me crazy... Please let me know an option to solve this issue...?? my mods are in my sig...

Thanks a lot.

Your car will never idle properly and it will always stall out with a TIAL BOV and a mass air flow meter based ecu.

Maybe you got luckly with the a.c on that the idle was more stable - however - with venting such a large quantity of air outside the intake track you are cuasing overly rich conditions

I would suggest that you install a re-circulating bov such as the Forge RS which will prob avilevate most of your problems

As far as the update flash from the dealer if you have it you can ship me the ecu and I can update your previous base flash over the dealer update

Thanks a lot Al....

I will give it a try to a recilculating BOV... If that doesn't solve the issue then I might do the update flash from the dealer and then send the ECU to you for the mail-in flash.

Once again , thanks a lot for the help.

Happy New Year...!!!

Ok can you please explain to me how this is a DynoFlash problem. sounds like a bov to me.

Oh and you did not spell DynoFlash correct. please look on the web page for proper spelling.
