Getting my first ecu reflash, have a question.

I have a decent amount of mods for my Evo but I'm not sure which ones to use after I get Al to flash my ecu. I'm looking for the best combination of the parts I have for the best power gains. Here's the list:

o2 housing
3 inch downpipe
high-flow cat
cat-back exhaust
manual boost controller
3 inch intake pipe(no nipples)
K and N cone filter
upper intercooler pipe
forge dv (one with the 1g flange)

I just want to know if any of the parts I have won't help my car any after the flash. They're not on my car now because I know the stock ecu settings aren't adequate. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

He has to flash it for the parts ON the car. dont flash it for parts you "might" put on later! Put the parts on, send the ECU to Al, with the list of mods, re-install the ECU and let-er-rip! subsequent parts added later, might void your flash, whereas you need to RE-flash for the upgraded parts.

Yeah, I know that. I was just asking if there was a winning combination out of the parts that I have or if any of the parts that I listed wouldn't make a difference.

Ok then, if those are your choices, first thing, you want it to "breathe".
downpipe
hiflow cat
catback
cone filter
MBC

Get the AMS lower IC pipe, forget the upper for now. The O2 housing? ah no. not much gains for the money. Go with these first, and listen to Al, as he probably has other parts to fit the budget, and make your car scream! enjoy

The 02 housing is already installed so I'll probably just leave it. Can't really afford the lower ic pipe right now and I did notice a little top end gain when I had the upper ic pipe on. If I didin't specify earlier I DO have all of these parts already. Thanx for the feedback.

Not sure how people think they notice top end gain, but a UICP doesn't provide that...nor any power for that matter. I am guessing you have to retain the UICP due to the whole 1g-flanged BOV issue. If it were my car, I would do the tbe/mbc/bov/k&N/uicp/o2 but leave off the actual MAF pipe and add a fuel pump. You want that FP in before the flash...

Yeah, I've heard its best to get the fuel pump. Something about the stock one overheating sometimes or something like that??? I dont HAVE to use the uicp, I have the adapter for the bov to connect to the stock pipe. I guess the MAF pipe doesn't help either???

Not really, I had the intake/MAF pipe/upper IC pipe etc...but changed it to the stocker.

Not only does the MAF pipe not help, but it HURTS you. That's the main problem with aftermarket intakes...the hard MAF pipe. The K&N cone is fine. As for the UICP, if you already have it, then I don't see any reason not to keep it installed.

You will match his time and exceed them! Dont sell yourself short, those times are in the 1/8th mile anyway!
