Thanks Al...

Hey Al,
Just wanted to say thanks for the quick flash. With the Forge unos on the light spring 18.5psi the evo 9 went 12.5/108. I honestly forgot to switch to the heavier spring for 21psi. The car is running great. I did some math and it looks like the car is making around 330whp on 18.5psi. When I get a chance I will switch to the heavier spring and will dyno the car for all to see. The two step worked awesome too. I don't think the stock clutch is very happy about it though Anyways, had to post the positive results of your flash and will post dyno numbers in a few weeks.

Heh, no, not 330-358whp. More like 280-290whp right now. I think you meant to say BHP? I'm at 300whp right now in 12.26@110 mode. Great driving, though. I look forward to the boost being raised up to 21-22psi.

Warrtalon-I bet you it makes more like 330WHP. I have 3 formula's that I have used in the past that are pretty accurate. I have done it with all my other cars that have been dynoed/tracked and it is always within these numbers. Out of the 3 formula's I always take the lower which should be about 330. I may just dyno it next week out of curiosity. We'll see, either way it is making great power and is running fantastic. The car weighed 3360 last night with me in it.

Thanks platinumspecv, how is everything with you?

With 18.5 psi of boost I would say about 320 whp on a dyno jet

With the heavy spring ans 21 psi peak boost pressure I would say 330 - 340 whp on a dyno jet

Of course on some other kind of dyno - who knows what you will get

Evo_Kid- Buschur TBE, Buschur MA pipe/filter, MBC, and dynoflash.

Al, yeah, I'd say that is in the ballpark. I don't really care about a dyno number anyways. I only care about what it runs at the track and around town. And it is doing great at both

Well, your car weighs less than mine, and I ran 12.26@110 with 300whp, so that's why I don't think you're anywhere near 330whp (or even 300whp). I don't know what calculators you were using, but they probably don't work for an AWD. Anytime you trap under 110, that's basically less than 300whp on a Dynojet. 330whp is what I have when I run 12.0s and trap 113. You're about 40-50whp below that. After you get the boost to 21psi, then you will be looking at a possible 330whp, imo.

Just saying...108mph traps are nowhere near 330whp. I trapped 107.5mph with 282whp/259wtq just for reference...

Whats the 60 ft and 1/8?

The 9 can go down the track at 300whp faster than a 8 with 300 peak whp(higher average of HP).

do you consider your 1/4 mile times the absolute best possible with your mods? i mean, in order to use them as reference for determining other people's whp, your times at the track must be pretty consistent and / or perfect.

warrtalon was right again. The formula is called the Patrick Hale formula and I stand corrected. I really hate to be wrong, but you were right. This is from the formula index page-"hp" is the peak engine power output at the crankshaft in horsepower, and
"weight" is the the total weight of the vehicle (with driver) in pounds.

At least I can admit it Here is the full details on the run. Still good for 18psi I think.

60' 1.777
330 5.175
1/8 8.013
mph 85.17
1000 10.476
1/4 12.547
mph 108.49
