continue with p0300

I reflash my ecu for the second time to resolve p0300 and after 3k milles again i have the p0300 dayly before the second reflash i install NGKBPR7EIX to resolve this with no luck. But know i can feel the misfire in 5 gear about 60 mph. I have to remove the foot on the pedal to cut the misfire and then accelerate again an the misfire gone.

Which gap do i need to adjust the plugs i install them with the factory gap. Do you think i must replece the plug wires?

i really don't think it's your plugs or wires. it's like the ECU thinks there is a misfire and goes into some "safe" mode to avoid damaging the car, then when you let off the gas it senses everything is ok and lets you accelerate as normal. I have had this problem forever, it's just a mystery to me.

www.vishnutuning.com has a c-reader that you just leave plugged. It'll clear the code when it miss-fires. This is the only way I can drive my car with out wanting to drive it into a tree.

Most if not all of my misfire issues went away when I installed a HKS DLI2, otherwise I was in the same boat as you before. I am running my plug gap around .28

A went to a mitsu dealer to order a set of spark plug cables to verify if i can resolve the problem with the misfire they told me that it could be a reason for the misfire.

They also offer to update my ecu with the p0300 fix. I think it can erase my dynoflash with that update what do you think. I really want to remove that problem.

Get the newest 0300 code update from the dealer and then send back the ecu for a re-install of your original dyno flash with a list of mods and $50 for shipping and handling

As an alternative - you can just plug in a CREADER into your obdii plug and it will prevent this problem - you can but them on ebay very cheaply

Question

I have had the same problem ever since I tuned my car......i have a base Vishnu Flash with custom dyno tune...if I have the dealer reflash with the newest p0300 fix, it'll wipe out my tune/flash. I'm not happy to have to pay for another dyno tune, if I were to take this route.

I still am hesitant the new p0300 fix (however new this really is) will actually FIX my cel and problem and engine sputtering around 60 mph (actually anywhere between 3000 RPM & 3600 RPM). It doesn't sputter thru this whole range....just once somewhere in between this range. It NEVER stutters during WOT!

I'll keep reading hoping for a cheap solution without wiping out my tune!

*I am VERY Happy with my Vishnu Tune! Just so you don't think I'm blaming them in any way...cuase I'm not!

Finally p0300 gone. I took mitsubishi p0300 flash and all the problems gone misfire and the cel. I will test my car for now before send the ecu to reflash with dynoflash. I feel my car stronger on low rpm. I think they do something with the maps.
