This is a SAFC tuned car of a fairly famous so cal evo person - (name witheld) that I was logging for reference
Notice the giant spike of knock - green - that coincided with a nasty audable knock - it also pulled his timing down to next to nothing.
I beleive the green spike helps you tune by specifically identifying the point of the knock - rather than driving around with head phones on - watching the a/f and trying to remember what rpms you hera the knock
My main point is that any knock events the 12 logs a second misses can be heard
BTW - NOTHING in my tuning alters the factory knock protection - it is not "buffered" reduced or adjusted in any manner
From what I have garthered the Exede does alter the factory knock sesnor - a risky proposition in my opinion

BTW - that car above was the strongest I have driven on 91 octane and it picked up a full 1/0th of a G across the power band with a flash tune. More power, less engine knock = a happy customer.
