Can i take only the ECU from my evo for a reflash to houston? Or do you need the whole car?

Yeah, you just need the ECU. You should see the spectacle of Al driving around road tuning an ECU - it's awesome! He installs his portable steering wheel and training wheels, then takes off like Fred Flinstone. You can be sure that your ECU will be perfectly tuned afterwards.
