I know this has been discussed a million times before, and the consenus seemed to be that the stock fuel pump on the IX was pretty solid. Do you think now that us IX owners should all be considering and upgrade of the fuel pump before a tune on an IX? Which Walboro would be the best size to upgrade?

(OT: What's up Paul? The car is awesome so far!)

Al said the fuel pump issue was specific to this car, because he hadn't seen the same problem on other IXs. It could be caused by the HKS RS, but more testing needs to be done.

Yeah, just waiting on the new Buschur exhaust to be shipped (the "bullet" muffler). I have the MBC still in the box, then it's off to get tuned. I installed an LICP and Tein coilovers this week. I'm keeping a real close eye on the IX cams that are popping up.

Al, you're doing an awesome jobs on the IXs. Keep it up

Those muffler shop exhausts are funny. I actually saw a guy make one, for sales purposes I wont mention who and where, but he was awful.

On the opposite end, I have a friend of the family who orders pre bent mandrel bent tubing in sections that are not designed for an Evo or any car for that matter, but when cut and shaped properly, they work like a charm. He does exhausts that rival the best out of pre bent stuff.

I really want an Evo 9. However, my investment to a paid off Evo 8 already is something I can't deny. If I were to buy an Evo 9 and modify everything on it...why the hell wouldnt I just do it to my 8?

Al, phenomninal job. I posted something about a base flash to be used in conjunction with an MAFT-Pro, as I had no money or patience for the AEM EMS, so Im gonna try this instead. You didnt happen to notice it?

Sorry to bastardize the thread.

Al, was it even broken in as yet? Just wondering if its okay to mod and tune a car before the break in period has ended, by you of course.

The exhaust cam hasn't shown to provide gains yet.
