Yes I can do it

Yes - I did use a 75 shot on my own evo back 2 years ago to be the first to go 11's on stock turbo and cams

Yes - you are taking a risk

and Yes I will laugh if your engine blows up later

Nitrous Beware ! Its fast but it does melt pistons fast and upgraded pistons are suggested first

I understand that.. But why is it any more risky than adding 50 horsepower with say more boost or cams?
I ran a 120shot on my srt4 and it loved it.. I just don't understand why everyone is scared of nitrous.

Because people improperly install it and blow thier stuff up. It is no more dangerous than running higher boost.

Agree 100% with above.

I used it with my GSX. Loved it.

25psi on the 50 trim, plus a 75 shot of giggle gas was fun.

Then again, I had ARP's holding EVERYTHING together, Cleavite bearings, MML headgasket, Wiseco 8.3:1 pistons Eagle rods and just about everything else you can do with a 97 GSX motor.

Blow something up, fix it with bigger and better.

I started with a small shot, ran it a few times, tuned it, logged it, checked everything, then went for more. Then did all that over agin. more logging, more tuning. Just make sure everything is happy and running right.

NOS = Use at your own risk!! Seen too many cars melt pistons & valves and blow heads off even with ARP's!! Stripped the threads right out of the block!!

You prolly won't have problems with a small shot used for tuning purposes!! Just prepare to pay for the maintance

CKjeepin,

I can only assume at this point that you have done your research and I can only expect that you are resposibly financially fit.

I don't want to take away your illusion with the NOS mod, yes indeed they can make your car turbolag free and fast but the chances of blowing the engine are simply not worthy from any point of view.

Unless you are sponsored or you make just too much money and have other means of transportation I suggest you use the NOS at your own risk.

Now days you can use co2 to spray it on the Front Mount intercooler, there is someone in this forum that reported 30 or 40 WHP when spraying.

I have seen soo many times absolutely cathastropic engine failures due to NOS, the worst part is that it does n ot stop there, mostlikley the explosion of the NOS burns everything on its path, hood, plastic, harness, just about anything.

I am helping a friend of mine to rebuild his Evo that got destroyed a few months ago by using NOS. The damages went far beyond the engine, additional partslike intercooler, bov, intercooler pipes, battery, harness, burnt hood,ECU were just part of the damage.

I saw another explosion of NOS two week ago in San Antonio racetrack, this time the driver almost died inside burnt. You play, you pay.

Good luck and good bless your engine for reliability.
