I guess that was around the time this happened, will check this week. I swapped the coils, NOT the wires. If you go to my thread "Smokedmustangs misfire caught on tape" you can see/hear the sound. Is that what the sound is from the ones expierencing misfires?

You can make the Magna Core wires to fit well. It just requires simple mod. I run BPR8ES with .29 gap. I might post this How to when I take the picture of my modded magna Core wires. I noticed that you can run higher gaps than stockers when I changed it.
Yeah, I don't recommand just putting in. It will misfire for sure!

I have both (magnacor wires AND the HKS DLI II Spark amp) I get the misfire, with all plugged in, if I take the DLI II out of the loop, it runs WORSE! I am running 26 gap on NGKBPR8ES also. And am running meth.

Not that I even run these, but are the Ralliart wires any better than the Magnacore wires?

I had the magnacore 8.5 wires on my evo 8 and on the dyno they made more power, I have the dyno runs to prove it. I did find you have to make sure your boot seals and then they get vacumed on, I squezzed all excess air out and it sealed right up.

I now have the ralliart ones and they are a perfect fit just like stock. They also made more power over stock just like the magnacores. Back to back dynos prove this. I wanted all ralliart stuff so this was my first purchase.

I've had those 8.5 wires since I bought the car. No problems.

If you start misfiring it's usually your plugs. At least in my case.

My car takes mods like a fighting champ, no b****ing!

does it increase any power or just optimize the stock spark plug wires.

We saw a slight gain of power back in the day when we tested it on a stockish car

The main use is if you have a mis fiore condition - e.g. high boost or alcohol injection, etc

I have the HKS dli also. when we put the stock plug wires back on the car it was on the dyno and there was no lose in HP. That is when I took it back up to Buschur last week for the minor miss fire.
