Al Im confused. This guy made more power before when he didnt have the 10.5, the ported/coated manifold and 02.

Not to mention, I made more than with the same exact same parts minus the alcohol..... im quite confused.

Anything shows on dyno is power...i guess if this what Al meant.

I dont really see any special on this result...

As i have almost similar set up except i have stock 03 turbo and intercooler

yet i make 369/380 @ 26 psi.

You cannot compare different dynos on different days and expect a 1 to 1 comparison. My last tune was in January when it was 30 deg out. Today it was about 72..

The spool is just silly compared to what it was. It was more like 400-500 rpms quicker then with the old setup..It is soooo much fun to drive on the street now.

At this point, the stock turbo is simply maxed out. We were increasing the boost but the TQ kept climbing and the HP just stayed solid..so this confirms that the stock turbo is simply "out of steam." The tune is very safe. Like Al said there is another 20 whp in the car and it would still be a reliable tune.

The a/f was 11.1 dead on on the dyno. But on the street it dipped below that. So we could have easily gained some more power, but we were both satisfied with the end result.

Thanks Al, and the guys @ Pruven for the excellent work once again..

Al-

The car feels awsome down low. I plan on leaving it the way it is for awahile, at least until summer. After the 5 hour drive home, I am considering the buschur 20g-9....

Thanks again for the great customer service and a rock solid tune!!

is your manifold and hot side ported?

Al - is it true you can get straight 280 cams to idle like stock?

manifold is ported and coated the hotside is not...after talking to Buschur the gains from the ported/coated hotside would be minimal..

And yes, he can flash 272's or 280 and the will idle like stock....or very very close to it

No one said there was anything "special" about the power or the results

I post a lot of dyno sheets so people can see how various mods work

IMHO - this car was a lot of pleasure to drive and very pleasant

Yeah it was warm today. My dyno was at 55 degrees in the room and it was raining out so it was somewhat humid. Either way, Im not sure how my car made the power it did on that Sunoco 93. ****, it wasnt even 94, but nonetheless with the cars Ive been beating on the street it has to be accurate. I raced my friends LS1 TA last weekend... its FULL bolt on, cammed, suspension, 3.73s, 12 bolt, 425rwhp. 50mph roll on (him in 2nd, me in 3rd), it was DOOR TO DOOR to 130mph (7900 in 4th for me)

I am not going to quote dave, either you can ask him or he will post in here and provide his thought. But with the manifold, and i2 being ported and coated the gains from a ported and coated 10.5 would be minimal. There might be a small gain there, but it probably wouldnt outweight the cost involved..

I was just wondering whether that was advice from Dave directly or one of his staff. It just doesn't make sense to me. Part of the porting process on the manifold is to port match the twin scroll port openings to the gasket between the turbine housing and the manifold. If you enlarge the openings on the manifold but then don't port the turbine housing as well, you get a mismatch in the port openings. Even worse, the mismatch is going from bigger to smaller, so the exhaust would hit a brick wall at that edge and cause turbulence.

the power is what it is. I will be going with the Buschur 3065 very soon so I am not dwelling much on these numbers..
