Poor Planetboy has some disturbing engine sounds from a cam install gone bad, otherwise his tune was great

Guys a few thoughts

FIRST - TEXAS is a great place and you guys are lucky to live here. People are super polite and kind here and its a welcome relief.

Secondly, I am going to post up withion a few days some instructions on HOW to test for boost leaks. There were way too many cars with mechanical issues today and it really is frustrating for me to not be able to deliver the amazing results I am capable of when the cars have mechanical issues.

Oil leaks, boost leaks, defectve boost controller, intercooler pipe which would not stay on were some of the problems presented today

OH and the guy who wanted a base flash from me to replace his other tuner base flash becuase he could not understand why his gas mileage went to 11 mpg after he did his cam install. . . . . luckily I found the culprit - he was driving with the MAF sensor unplugged for a week !!!!!!

I can not over stress how important it is to have your car wrenched properly BEFORE you come for tuning

Sadly, it seems that some customers only decide its time for tuning when the car is running like total garbage and usually the tune is only part of the problem

I was shocked to see a customer with almost full stage 4 and no tuning method what so ever and he was driving like that for months

It was good to see you all

Funniest part to me was the fact that I was wearing my Buschur "My Evo ATE your STI" T shirt when the STI came at the end of the day to get tuned

Tuning the STI was fun and glad the customer had a sense of humor

Hey Al,

This is David. I was your last customer Saturday with the base flash. It really pulls like it should have from the factory. Can't wait to give the launch control a try. I took it for a test run like you said and the pvc tubing for my boost guage keeps popping off from my engine bay everytime i hit full boost, which is now around 20-21 psi all the way past redline. I just need a lil super glue. By the time I made it back you were gone. Thanks for coming down.

Thanks and glad you enjoy it

I would think your boost gauge is reading a bit on the high side which is typical

Al

Thanks for the tune Al. A lot of the time with my car it felt like it was just making noise when you pressed the gas and never really seemed to go anywhere. I knew it wasn't a slipping clutch but that's what it felt like. Bone stock on a chilly evening with an excellent DA the best I could get from the car was a 13.4 @ 100 bone stock, which is **** poor for an '05. After the tune it actually goes when I press the gas. Car feels so much better, so thanks again.

Man, what a way to end on a bang.

PVillian's car came out really strong - perfect in fact

Not a touch of boost leak - perfect spark - fast !

It was great to end on such a great note

Happy Easter

Al

I hope you come back to Houston sometime. I only have 100 miles on my IX, so a little too early...
