oops, sorry AL It is a 04 VIII.

Will we be getting before and after results on the dyno with a road tune or only with the dyno tune?

I believe I will be leaving for phx thursday night and would have to drop my car off at the shop then if that is ok with all the involved parties. Thanks again

Curtis
Curtis,

I am glad you are finally in, welcome to the Evolutionm forum. We are going to stick with the plan, we will leave your car in the shop as agreed. Everything is under control, I laready arrange your car storage at no cost, also I already arranged your tuning with Al.

Whenver you drop off your car at IAperformance just tell Steve that you are the one leving the car at the shop and that you already spoke with Carlos, he knows what to do.

Other than that again welcome and hope to see you in person on Sunday.

Carlos

Dude, just go with us! You can decide if you are going to get the base flash when you get up there. You don't need an appt. for a base flash. I am getting mine custom tuned for the Ecutek on both 91 and VP103 race gas.

Just checking in to get a head count on customers wanting the following:

- before and after dyno results
- Al's tuning on our dyno

We're offering a discount to those that want before and after baselines. Usually $65 for 3 power pulls. If you do a before and after dyno result we will do it for $99. That's over $30 off. For $99 you will receive:

3 Power pulls each time
AFR
Boost
Power curves

Just give us an email, PM, or phone call and we'll get you penciled in. Before and after results are highly recommended to see where your performance mods truely perform. For example, 02 housing + downpipe showed a 20 whp/wtq gain w/ no tuning on a evo9 rs. Quite impressive.

Quick Q's bout ta spend sum cash

what would be a good estimated whp output for a 03 VIII w/ injen intake/intercooler piping, walbro pump, and HPF 3.5" Turbo back with Al's custom road tune. And do u think it would be worth it, instead of a k&n drop in. ( keeping in mind the whole heat soak deal associated with open air cone filters. Running outta time lemmie know! Thanx-bRaVO

ON 91oct at your altitude, probably 250whp. Don't worry. I only make 300whp uncorrected here in Colorado with alky running 26psi and other mods that you won't have.

I suggest just doing Warrtalon Stage 1 and skipping the intake. You'll spend less to get more and will get a nice Buschur 3" instead of that huge, unnecessary 3.5" from HPF.

I already bought the exhaust so ur package which I'm sure is sweet can't help me now lol but even at my altitude that seems low . I was expecting that just off exhaust and tune . I guess I'm dreamin! but with my exhaust purchased already any other suggestions/comments cuz I heard that intake is sick with a tune

An intake being sick? Maybe if you like the loud noises all the time, but no, it's not much in terms of power. When you said you expected that much just off the exhaust and tune, what did you mean? The other mods you listed aren't power mods. IC piping doesn't add anything, and an intake is minimal. Only the LICP gives a little power and spoolup support. The fuel pump is to help you run higher boost safely. You will still need an MBC and BOV to go with this stuff in order to have a complete setup.

The 250whp IS low, but at altitude and on 91oct, power sucks. People will show their corrected numbers which are higher, but I'm talking about uncorrected actual power. I have a BUNCH of mods and only make 300whp max up here on full boost with alky and 93, so don't feel bad. My corrected numbers are 380whp/420wtq, which is a joke.

Count me in on before and after I just added an UICP and have the lower piping, going to put in on this week. So we can check those mods then the tuning.

Carlos,

I have already contacted Stephen about leaving my car with him. He is doing me a big favor. I do plan on having my car dyno'd after the tune is done. Thanks for contacting him and helping me out. I can't wait to feel the results. I also wanted to check and make sure that Al knows that I have a check engine light on that I would like to go away Thanks again.
