Mods

HKS RS Intake
HKS fmic
HKS fmic pipe
HKS 264 / 272 cams
Helix 3" Exhuast
DC Header
Ebay o2 housing
Walbro pump
Hallman MBC

Custom Dyno Flash

22.5 peak psi of boost - 93 octane pump gas

I think after nearly 3 years of daily evo work I am starting to get the hang of this flashing stuff

This car had some mechanical issues which needed to be sorted also - turned out to be a bad stock spark plug wire which was making the car run like garbage when it came in

This car came out perfect - this is how a dyno sheet should look

And, a joy to drive as well

IF he had the 10.5 hotside it would have been even better

Nice numbers. Curve is pretty sweet as well. How long did it take you to figure out his wires were bad? I would imagine as long as you have been working on it that it must have been pretty quick.

First we swapped out his MAF sesnor from another evo

Then we swapped in coils and plugs from another evo

Then we pulled one coil and wire at a time and put back on his parts till we found the bad one

Good thing we had a donor evo !

Ralliart or stock are the only plug wires to replace it with

There's a way to check your coil packs and wires with a meter and AA battery but you got to know what your doing or can easily toast the coils or your fingers. I never tried it.

very smooth curves....and the power output is very impressive for those mods without alky or race gas

That is definitly a strong car!

Every car is different - having the right combo of parts, properly installed and without boost leaks is the key to extracting great power

right after this one we had a car with 280 cams and BR Stage 2 which was 30 whp lower due to a restrcitive high flow cat which seemed to be cloged

It all comes down to the individual car and the experience to know how far each car can be pushed safely
