I will be doing a boost leak test tonight, and have the money now for dyno time.
Well, I guess I'll take the 4:00 spot then. So for a custom dyno tune it's $525 total with deposit?

I thought I explained myself with sufficinet clarity in my PM

A few points now that you mention this here again

#1 - I have reviewed Corey's tuning map at length and there is nothing 'wrong' with it per say that needs correction. He has been running his car on that map for a LONG time. The tuning paramters are proper for the modifications that he has and there is nothing mistaken or incorrect in the work that I did.

I will be happy to look at Corey's car and determine that the correct flash is installed and inspect it to see if there is any problem that needs to be corrected when I am in Las Vegas. What I am not willing to do is book him a 2 hour time slot to re-tune his car for new and additional modifications.

#2 - After discussion with Mr. Buschur last summer I made some efforts to reach out to the Las Vegas evo community in general and Corey in particular and invited him and anyone else from vegas to come to Pheonix last summer for FREE custom tunes at Vivid Racing. Corey canceled out on his tune at the last minute. There was another gentleman who came and got a free custom tune at no charge. Becuase Cory canceled out at the last minute I had an open spot which was not filled. It seems that my jesture of offering to the Las Vegas group these free tuning appointments must have fallen upon deaf ears.

#3 - The present trip was arranged with very short notice - less than 11 days and my air line really hit me hard on the air fare - it cost me $670. I advised Corey that I would not be doing any free tuning on this trip as I would have a hard time to just recover the cost of air fare, hotel and rental car.

#4 - I had initally hoped to offer some free tuning services on this trip - and in fact I was going to extend to you a free upgrade from a base flash as well but there is only so many hours in a day and at 2 hours per car tuning I can only do so many. On this trip, due to the extraordinary air travel costs I must give first priority to those who are paying customers. As it turns out I will only have enough time to do the scheduled custom tunes that i have listed above, and I will be unable to offer anyone any free tuning during this trip.

Thanks for your input on this matter and support for your friend. However, I have made my decision on this particular case and I hope that you can respect my reasons for doing so even if you do not agree.

A little blow by is acceptable

What you need to do now is a leak down compression test and normal compression test to determine the health of the engine

BTW - how many miles do you have ?

I don't mean to beat a dead horse but we were just trying to get a little closeur on this matter. It just seemed odd that someone with a complete Buschur stage 4 would dyno significantly less then than someone like me with just a TBE,intake, mbc, and safc.

Like you said, he is my friend and I'm just trying to support him and help get his car running right.

As for the upgrade to a custom tune, yeah that sucks but no prob I'll just stick with my original plan of a base flash. I paypal'd you yesterday.
