cammed tuned evo with only 268 whp?

The car have straight 272 cams, intake, turboback with factory cat, front mount intercooler and boost controller set at 19 psi and 255 walbro.

It was tuned here locally in portland.. and ended up with 268 hp. baseline was 240ish whp on a dynojet. How much horsepower does a car with these mods put down on average . Would a base mail in flash yield more power than this?

I am not sure if a mail in flash would help you as most likely your car must have some mechanical issues

I would test :

Boost leaks

Compression test

Check cam gear timing

Good luck

A few problems here:

1) Is this your car? YOu never said it was - you just said "the car have," which was poor grammar.

2) It's not a turboback if it has the stock cat.

3) Why does it have an FMIC on the stock turbo and stock cat?

4) Why is the MBC set lower than stock boost?

5) You said it was tuned locally in Portland. Who tuned it and with what tuning device?

6) What kind of dyno? Just spewing HP numbers without context is useless to us.

7) What octane?

- WarrTalon
-Corrupt Mod Path
-Lower than Stock Boost
-Straight 272 Cams
-Turbo-Back with Cat
-Asks if flash would help
-War actually missed something, he said it was on Dynojet!! !

You guys just fire without listening.
Stock boost is 16 psi, not 19. the dyno is measuring at the taper 16.

Why you can't have the stock cat with a full exhaust. not that is wise, but maybe he is waiting to get a 3" race cat. Or just removes it at the track.

Oh men, people like flame wars!!!

At least Al responded.

Maybe you should reread the post. It cleary says turbo back with cat, which is a contradictory statement. In addition, stock boost is closer to 19 than 16. We don't even know what year car he has. Were you referring to max boost pressure where it tapers at? If the dyno is measuring at the taper 16 how much power did it have when the boost was at 19 since it would have to go to 19 before it would taper to 16.

That's really low. You definitely have a mechanical problem. Cars w/ Dynoflashes, cams, catless TBE, intakes, put down roughly 309-316whp on that Dynojet (the 4 I have personally seen).

This is my bros car. Its tuned on 92 octane and its a 05 model. Still in the process of fixing some idling issues. I'll keep you guys informed once his car gets retuned.
