All stock here with my evo IX - Do I need a MBC too or is it okay for me to go without one since I’m running a stock exhaust system?

Thanks for answering my NEWBIE question.

Nothing wrong with staying how you are without an MBC. You can just regulate the boost a little better and run it higher with the MBC. The car will run perfectly without the MBC while utilizing the ECU (flash) for boost control. Plus, like you mentioned having stock exhaust, we don't really recommend raising the boost above 20-21 with the stock exhaust due to all the backpressure. However, with an exhaust, IXs can run 23-24psi on 93oct without knock or detonation.

Hi. Any chance that I got that last Sunday (6pm-8pm) slot?

Me too. Unfortunately I'm a "Johnny come lately"--I did not see this thread until the 29th--I doubt that I'll get a slot

It's all dependent on when Al reads this thread and sifts through his hundreds of Paypal payments.

So am I going to have a slot, or will I just be getting my deposit reimbursed?

If there are customers, Al will tune. I have yet to see someone reserve a tune and be turned away. That would only happen if there was not enough time before his flight leaves...

Wherever he puts you when he catches up with the deposits. Jeez, this trip isn't for 3 weeks - chill. If you put in a deposit, you'll get a slot. If the slot you asked for was given to someone who paid AFTER you, then it will be remedied. If it was a thread I had started, then it would all be taken care of, but since Al started, you'll have to wait for him to tend to it.
