Another do I need a reflash
Another do I need a reflash
Al I pmed you with this a little while ago but I realize that you are very busy with the Eflash demand so I will give it a shot here. I am going to install a 3 inch down pipe and I have already installed a magnacore 8.5 spark wire kit since my last flash. Should I get a reflash?
Thanks
mods:
Blitz SUS intake
Agency Power 3 inch cat back exhaust
UR 3 inch test pipe
Agency Power adjustable DV
Magnaaore 8.5 spark wires (new since last flash)
Forge MBC set to 1.51bar peak
Walbro 255
Thanks

If you had the tune with the stock dp and now your adding a 3" than the answer is yes. By the way the magnacore wires have been known to give problems the stock wires work better.
No, just adding a dp will not require a retune.
Yes, please get rid of those Magnecores. Why did you buy them? Did your stockers burn up or something? If your stockers didn't go bad, then re-install them. Just search around here on EvoM to see how many problems those Magnecores have caused. It's unfortunate, because they were a great mod on all my DSMs.

I got them pretty cheap on ebay. Gotta love some down time at work and a case of retail therapy. Hey Warr how rich should I expect to run with one of Als flashes and the mods I listed? I currently have a pretty strong gas smell at idle. I really need to get a wideband.
Your closed loop operation is not affected by the flash, so the richness at idle is unrelated. He only tunes the open loop operation, which is when you're in high throttle situations. If you're abnormally rich at idle, then it means there's a problem somewhere like a boost leak or spark issue (plugs/wires?).
By the way the wires are comming off now! I had the probelm with running rich before I put the wires on. I did not smell the gas prior to a new tune for the Blitz intake. Maybe I am smelling left over fumes just after driving?

Exhaust fumes don't smell like raw gas, although people sometimes confuse the two. My car smells fumy all the time due to the catless exhaust.
If you started getting this smell after installing that strange intake...well...

The car runs great so I guess all is well. At the very least if I am running a little rich that is a whole lot better than real lean! By the way I have a boxer that looks a lot like the dog in your avatar. Great animals. Thanks for your input
