Just wondered if you can get the Revolver cams to idle with the stock MAF on a 2.3L stroker? Trying to find the best torque cam for a GT30 stroker combo.

12mnkys, these are revolvers. They're in a whole different league than what you have, w hich is why he's asking about getting them to idle. Your 272s are like pea shooters compared to these Revolvers. Believe me, the fact that they're technically 264s means very little...

4ring, Al has said to me in the past that you just can't properly run the Revolvers with the stock MAF. It's not that he can't flash for Revolvers, it's that the stock MAF just can't work well with them. We'll see if that has changed now that we have seen more customer cars with Revolvers recently.

I have heard the same but was hoping that a 2.3 with a lightly elevated (not so much it throws a code for high idle speed) would get the maf into a frequency range it could deal with. If not I will probably go with the Piper rally or road cams.

He's talked about this before... you almost NEED an EMS. I think a few users have managed with ECUTEK tho.

Can't wait til later tonight.. friend of mine is bringing home his 2.3L revolver cammed 20G-9 beast.

there are a couple of threads on here about people using ecutek and said it worked out fine with revolvers. definitely would like to hear more about this. the other option, if possible, is using maftpro along with a flash and eliminating the maf that way. either way i hope someone can provide some input on this as i really dont want to go with the aem and would love to have revolver cams.

In most cases the car will idle decent with the revolvers

It depends on the vac level - if its enough to draw through the maf sensor

I am about to give it a try so once I get the beoch back together and Al tunes it I will let you all know how it went.
