NOTE * Re: Free Update Tunes - policy and proceedure
There has been some recent confusion regarding my policy and proceedure - I am writing to set things clear
There really has not been a huge issue with these as 90% of custom tune customer realize that custom tuning is the best path and simply get the car retuned with a new custom flash tune when they change mods.
I offer a free update base flash for people to use if they change mods and cant get tuned.
Those who have recieved a custom tuned reflash are affored free through the mail or fed ex update tunes as long as they own the car which was tuned
There are a few procedures of which you should be aware
1 - I do NOT to these free updates when I am traveling in other locations for obvious reasons. If you want to get a retune while I am visting your city you can do the full custom tune update for $299 or a update base flash for $100. Airfare, hotels and other travel expenses are very costly and I can not travel and provide a free service.
2 - I do NOT do free updates via E FLASH!; if you want a E FLASH! its $49.99 and you follow the same procedures as any other E FLASH! tune.
3 - You do not get a "custom update" - all you get is a revised base calibration for your specific mods. Any peculiar ascpects of the original custom tune are noted but you will wind up with a generic base map.
4 - Anyone who had a previous custom tune sending in a ecu to my office for an free base update for new mods must enclose a full list of mods and a return address and a shipping and handling service fee of $75 which includes fed ex standard insured overnight shipping and my office overhead and equipment servicing expenses.
5 - Anyone sending in a ecu for a free update flash DOES so at thier OWN RISK - there is no warranty for ecus damaged in shipping. (A small number of ecus have been damaged over the years - prob one out of a 1,000 through fed ex bashing around the boxes - ordinarily I replace these ecus (at a cost of $700 per) no questions asked for full paying customers (I have asorbed these costs into my fees and reveneu). FREE udate customers assume all rick of ecu damage through shipment and must take insurance on the box from fed ex. Dyno Flash will not cover your loss if your ecu is lost of damged.
NOTE - people doing mail in reflashes who are paying the $199 shipped fee - if any damage or loss occures to your ecu - Dyno Flash will provide you a replacement ecu at no cost to you. No incidental losses such as loss of use of car or towing etc are covered - Dyno Flash's sole responsibility shall be to replace your defective ecu. In order to obatin ecu replacement the ecu must be returned within 5 business days of when it was recieved.
Any questions or thoughts - PM me
Thanks - hope this clarifies things
