What do you mean it was idling at 7-8? 7-8 what? Do you have an idle problem, or does it idle just fine? The last place I recommend going for Evo suggestions is Japtrix, fyi.

 

AL, idles fine the timing is off at full throtel or boost the timing is at 7 to 8 not a good thing. i want to know if this can be fixed through you or i need to get shop to fix

You said your car was idling at 7-8 something. Are you now saying your timing at peak boost is 7-8*? Why is that not a good thing? Do you even know what that means? Why do you think that needs to be fixed, and why do you think it's not a good thing? All of us have 7-8* timing at peak boost, because it makes good power. Not sure why you think it's a bad thing, and I'm not entirely certain you even know what you're saying.

 

well the question was for AL, not Wartalon btw,

Im concerned because they told me it was not good other than that i couldnt tell you why its bad. my car has many mods and my peak HP is 277 i dont know a whole lot about engines im kinda learning on the why so when someone that works on them all the time says its no a good thing then im going to try and see what i can do he put a device on it looked at the timing and said thats most likly my prob. and Al is the only person that has tuned my car so i had hoped he had an answer. if the timing is not the issue then i guess ill have to take it to the shop. if you or anyone has an idea of what i should do i am more than open to suggestions

Warrtalon, just wanted to ask a question . Why do you not like japtrix ? Did you have a bad experience with them? MY name is Bobby Galardo i live in Lke worth Fl my EVO 8was the first one they ever worked on ,though they just moved to RIVIERA BEACH they did all installs for me.I, like you , am very fond of Buschur Racing and I have a stage 4- 9 20 G and DYNOFLASH BY AL(LAST YEAR HURRICANE TIME)At Japtrix awd mustang dyno read 350 whp and 340 tq im happy. Only issues i have was that this week my actuator on my turbo took a dump, gonna install sat afternoon.Like always Nick came through with the part from forced performance .pART WAS NEXT DAYD its here ready to go . SO far JAPTRIX has been reliable there car with a gt35 turbo runs low elevens-not bad . so i thought id just put in my two cents bottom line Ilike great products solid reliable BUSCHUR RACING DYNOFLASH AND JAPTRIX has worked for me thanks and keep up the good work with BIG AL fORGOT TO TELL YOU THAT THESE NUMBERS WERE WITH BRS SMC METHANOL INJ. stuff works well in FL heat...... Roger from Japtrix is a great guy and enthusiastic Evo lover. His GT35R is a pumpgas only Evo. Good people and very hospitable during our dyno days. I have raced beside him at NHRA Moroso Events.
