The "I'm getting flashed, what should I do" thread
The "I'm getting flashed, what should I do" thread
Other than cash obviously, what should I bring to a custom road tune appointment with Al. (Al or Warrtalon, feel free to respond)
1. I'm assuming I should have a full tank of 93 octane. Does Al recommend any specific gas station.
2. I assume that I should remove as much crap out of my car as possible, especially heavy items or things that will roll around, etc.
3. I'm assumig I should make sure my boost is set at 22psi.
As a side note, I have a SAFC-2 with generic AMS stage 1 settings. I don't really know how to change the settings (puts on flamesuite) and assume I will keep it zeroed out most of the time and only use it to lean out the car on race gas. I'm assuming that Al can take care of zeroing out the SAFC-2 in about 10 seconds as he is familiar with all tuning devices. If not, I'll have to figure it out myself.
Let me know anything I'll have to do to get my car ready.
Thanks

I thought I told you this in a PM, but if not, you should just remove the SAFC. I hope that you got it with an ECU harness so that it isn't spliced into the ECU. So, you just remove the harness and plug the ECU back in. You should never in a million years have an SAFC without even knowing how to adjust the settings. Yes, flame suit is right...that is incredibly dangerous. Al knows how to set it to 0, but that is your job to take care of it. Since you don't even know how to change it and have never tuned it yourself, I don't think you should ever mess with it on race gas either. You should show up with a near-empty tank of 93, get tuned, then toss in race gas, and get a race gas tune. Then, use EcuFlash to switch maps whenever you go to the track on race gas.
